Hey! I’m Johnny and I’ve made it my life’s mission to help guide people back into their breath and body, providing them tools to understand their anxiety, stress and old traumas. To empower people to live fully and radically authentic. I’m not here to heal you. I’m here to show you you’ve always had the tools to do it yourself; and it starts with the most basic of human functions.

I discovered I was breathing dysfunctionally when I was 29 after my first yoga class. Honestly, I thought I was an amazing breather before that class. I ‘powered’ through every workout, argument and heartache and barely ever showed my emotions. EVERYWHERE in my life I was hiding the deeper emotions of pain, anger, resentment and fear; including that yoga class where I was red faced and suffering and told everyone ‘that wasn’t that bad’. This is how I thought I was supposed to carry myself. To be a successful, powerful, respected man in today’s society. I had created this pattern unknowingly as a child. Every time I was faced with a stressful situation, I would hold my breath or breath extremely shallow. To hide my real emotions. No one ever told me this was inefficient, taxing my body with stress (physically and emotionally), keeping me in a perpetual ‘fight or flight’ state and holding me back from expressing who I truly was underneath all the armor of protection.

I was a mess and had had enough. It was time to make a change. I went on a mission to seek out the brightest minds in the field of breathing. I immersed myself into yoga in 2011 and became a certified teacher in 2016 from the Mystic Yoga Shala. Studied the principles of Pranayama (sanskrit for ‘control of the breath’) techniques yogis used for millennia to heal and raise their levels of consciousness. The breath was and still is at the core of my practice and I challenged myself in each class I took to be as conscious as possible of my breathing no matter how tired, uncomfortable or hot I was. I practiced the Wim Hof technique for years jumping in cold icy waters before it was a trend. I sought out breathwork seminars from around the globe from Steve Maxwell to Dan Brule to The Oxygen Advantage, where I ultimately earned my certification in 2018. I never shared anything I didn’t practice extensively on my own. I became my own lab experiment before I ever shared my teachings with anyone.

All the while, I was evolving into a different person. I was more open. More aware of scenarios around me and my reactions towards them. I was uncovering limiting beliefs and patterns that had been unconsciously running my life for decades. I knew if a situation wasn’t right for me before I lost my temper, my body would tell me. If I did happen to lose my temper, I had a way of coming back to my center. Incredibly, this was all stemming from my shift in breathing.

It was time to share what I had learned and experienced. There were so many schools of thought out there. Practice this dogma or only breath this way or that way to get you to this place of awareness, connection and serenity….and what I found is that all of them had their place. There were thousands of winding paths to get to the same destination. It was just a matter of finding which one worked for each individual.
